David J. Fenech: I am a blessed and grateful Catholic. Thanks to my loving and faithful parents, I cannot remember a conscience moment when I did not know, love, or depend on the Lord. I am a former journalist, child and family advocate, and educator. More importanly, I am devoted to my Lord and church, to my loving family and friends and to my community. On December 29, 2008, at age 53, I was seriously injured in a car accident when I was hit by a drunk driver. I am in full-time, inpatient rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries and injuries associated with a broken neck.
